Dear Readers

Assalamo alaikum wa Rehmatullah wa Barakaatohu

Allah says in Quran-e-Kareem:

That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;

On the basis of these words of Holy Quran, and several Hadith of Holy Prophet (SallAllaho alaihe wassalam) all Muslims are unanimous in their belief that Hazrat Eisa Ibne Maryam AS was neither crucified nor killed but He was raised physically to heavens and that he would descend at the end of the time. (See http://alhafeez.org/rashid/descent.htm http://alhafeez.org/rashid/Imammahdi.htm)

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, the founder of Ahmadiyya Movement and the claimant of prophethood/messiahship etc, however did not agree with this Quranic truth. He had different plans. He wanted to be Messiah himself, so how can he accept that Hazrat Eisa is alive in heavens and will descend again. If one read the books of Mirza Ghulam chronologically, he will notice that in the begining he had the same beliefs regarding Hazrat Eisa ibne Maryam AS as the main body of Islam. However as his claims evolved from servant of Islam to Maseel Maseeh to Messiah to prophet, he deviated from his earlier beliefs. He announced that his revelation informed him that Jesus is dead.

"God has revealed to me in his special inspiration that Maseeh ibne Maryam is dead." (Tauzeeh-e-Maram, Roohani Khazain vol 3 p.402)

He did not even care that he is rejecting Allah's word when he asserted that Hazrat Eisa Ibne Maryam (alaihuma assalam) was crucified and then when he was taken off the cross he survived and escaped. Next hurdle was to find the grave of Jesus. Unfortunately his god failed him here. Initially he was informed that the grave of Jesus is in Al-Khaleel (Syria). A few years later it was located in Al-Quds (Palestine). However a few years later one of his ardent follower, Molvi Abdullah Wakeel, located the grave in Kashmir. Then Mirza Ghulam came up with a long twisted story full of conjectures as to how Jesus ended in Kashmir, how his name changed from Eisa to Yuz Asaf, and how he supposedly died at the age of 120 and buried in Mohalla Khanyar, Srinagar, Kashmir.

Mirza had written his conjectures in several of his books like Izala-e-Auham, Itmam-e-Hujjat, Nuzool-e-Maseeh, Maseeh Hindustan mein etc. and many later qadiani/ahmadi authors have followed the same line. Reader is referred to those books if they want to know his theories regarding the grave of Jesus in Kashmir. I would like to point out the logic that Mirza has used to convince the opponents:

"If you say that Grave (of Jesus) is phoney, then you must bring the proof of this forgery, and prove that when this forgery took place." (Atmam E Hujat, Page: 18-19, Roohani Khazain vol.8 p.296-297, dated 1894)

SubHanAllah!!!

Mr Abdur Rehman Kondu on the other hand has collected some of the books that were written decades ago refuting the claim of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani regarding the grave of Hazrat Eisa Ibne Maryam in Kashmir. I am producing here those books. They are in Urdu. I will try to translate some of the material asap.

It is worth noting that the whole story of Hazrat Eisa's grave in Kashmir is based on the account of Molvi Abdullah Wakeel. Every Qadiani/Ahmadi believes in this story. What they do not know that Molvi Abdullah Wakeel later left Jamaat Ahmadiyya and embraced Bahaism. Book No 7 is written by him refuting the claim of Mirza Ghulam. It is a strange coincidence that a few years back another very vocal proponent of Grave of Jesus in Kashmir, Mr. Abu Bakr - the Tombmaster, also embraced Bahaism when he lost faith in Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (http://alhafeez.org/rashid/abubakr.html).
